Community Share Guidelines

Reese Creek Community Center (RCCC) offers Community Shares—via email and social media—to help neighbors stay informed about local events, opportunities, and useful information. To keep this resource fair, relevant, and community-centered, all submissions must follow the guidelines below.

1. What We Consider for Sharing

We prioritize information that:

  • Is directly relevant to the Reese Creek community or the surrounding area.

  • Supports community connection, safety, education, or local involvement.

  • Is non-profit, volunteer-oriented, or low-cost in nature.

  • Is open to community members or intended for a recognizable local audience.

  • Comes from individuals, groups, or organizations acting in good faith.

Community-oriented announcements from local businesses may be considered when the primary purpose is informational, supportive, or beneficial to the community.

2. What We Cannot Share

RCCC will not share submissions that:

  • Promote or oppose political candidates, parties, ballot measures, or lobbying efforts.

  • Promote religious proselytizing, recruitment, or fundraising not tied to a community event.

  • Contain offensive, discriminatory, unsafe, or inappropriate content.

  • Are purely commercial advertisements, sales promotions, or marketing campaigns.

  • Are irrelevant to the Reese Creek area or duplicate recent communications.

We may also decline requests that conflict with RCCC events or communication priorities.

3. Submission Requirements

  • Please submit requests at least 7 days before your desired posting window.

  • Include complete and accurate details.

  • Provide a short, clear description suitable for email or social media.

  • Attach a finalized flyer or image when applicable.

RCCC may edit submissions for length, clarity, and formatting.

4. Review & Posting

  • All requests are reviewed for fit with these guidelines and alignment with the RCCC mission.

  • Submissions are not guaranteed to be posted.

  • RCCC reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, delay, or remove any announcement at its sole discretion.

  • RCCC determines the timing, format, and placement of approved posts.

  • Sharing a submission does not imply endorsement or sponsorship by RCCC.
