The Reese Creek School was built in 1904 to serve the Reese Creek community. In 1965, the school was closed and the building was designated as a Community Center. Since 1904, the site has been utilized as a meeting place for the community, creating a rich history and fond memories.

Fast forward to 2024. Currently, an active and dedicated group of individuals have come together to save this historic building and shape the future of how this gem can continue to serve the community. We invite your input, donations, and participation in this wonderful project. Check out our Facebook page for regular updates or reach out direct for more info.

Donate a personalized legacy memorial brick.

We are raising money to rebuild the school’s walkway and would love your help. The bricks will be placed at the base of the steps and will be a great legacy for past students, teachers, & families that have or may in the future benefit from this historical treasure.

“We are writing to express our deep and widely held support of the submission—the preservation and restoration, and adaptive re-use of the Historic Reese Creek School, a one-room schoolhouse built in 1904—as the crown jewel and centerpiece of a unique citizen-driven community revitalization project - the heart and soul of one of the oldest settlements in SW Montana.”
